The Government of Madeira, led by PSD/CDS, has given the green light to the establishment of the Municipal Police in Funchal.
This decision marks a shift in position, as the proposal to implement this police force had previously been presented and supported by the Socialist Party (PS) in the region.
The measure aims to enhance security and oversight within the Funchal municipality, addressing long-standing demands from the public and political forces.
