The island of Madeira is among the most dynamic real estate markets in the country, matching the Porto district in how quickly advertised homes are removed from the market.
According to an analysis by idealista, 15% of houses listed for sale in the Region during the second quarter of this year disappeared from listings in less than seven days. This figure is significantly higher than the national average, where only about 10% of homes are sold in the same period.
In Funchal, 9% of properties are sold in under a week, positioning Madeira's capital among the cities with the fastest sales nationwide. The data indicates strong demand for housing in the Region, with available supply being rapidly absorbed by the market, reflecting high pressure and limited inventory.
