Municipalities in Madeira can now award contracts to a single company up to 217,500 euros, following a regional increase. This new ceiling represents a substantial rise compared to the national limit.
The national law had set the limit at 150,000 euros, but a regional enhancement of 45% has raised this threshold. Furthermore, the limit for prior consultation has been increased to 1.45 million euros.
