The regional structure of the Social Democrat Students (ESD) Madeira held a conference on financial literacy in Câmara de Lobos last week. The event marked the start of the academic year and aimed to foster reflection on the importance of financial literacy among young people. João Pedro Gomes, president of ESD Madeira, highlighted the speaker's experience and the theme's relevance, aligning with priorities set by European Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque. The organization believes strengthening financial literacy is vital for reducing inequalities and Portugal's convergence with other European countries.
