The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) issued a yellow alert on Thursday for thunderstorms in various parts of Madeira.
The alert covers the North Coast, South Coast, and mountainous regions, with a particular focus on the western part of the island. Porto Santo is not included. Thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and wind gusts up to 70 km/h are expected.
Simultaneously, the yellow alert for hot weather remains active across the island and Porto Santo, valid until 7 PM on Friday, September 25th, due to persistently high maximum temperatures.
