Much of the Madeira archipelago experienced a tropical night, with 15 out of 20 IPMA weather stations recording minimum temperatures of 20 ºC or higher.
The highest minimum temperature was registered in Cancela/SRPC, where the temperature did not drop below 27.4 ºC. Around the same time, the Quinta Grande station recorded 28.3 ºC, the highest nighttime temperature observed across the IPMA network in the region.
Temperatures only fell below 20 ºC at five stations. Pico do Areeiro registered an extreme low of 15.7 ºC, while Chão do Areeiro, Santo da Serra, Santana, and São Vicente also recorded values below 20 ºC.
