For this weekend, the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts very cloudy periods on the island of Madeira.
There is a possibility of light showers from Saturday afternoon onwards, more likely in the higher ground and the northern slopes of the island. The wind will be light to moderate from the northeast, occasionally blowing strongly in the highlands and the eastern and western extremities of the island. A slight temperature drop is expected in the highlands.
Regarding sea conditions, forecasts indicate north/northwest waves of 1.5 to 2 meters on the north coast and less than 1 meter on the south coast. The sea water temperature is expected to be around 23-24 C. Sunday anticipates very cloudy skies and showers, more frequent on the northern slopes and highlands, with a slight decrease in maximum temperatures.
