A delegation of ten Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from the Committee on Regional Development is visiting Madeira from September 21st to 23rd. The visit aims to discuss the specific needs and challenges faced by the EU's outermost regions.
During their stay, delegation president Younous Omarjee met with Paulo Barreto at São Lourenço Palace and with the President of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, Rubina Leal. Press statements are scheduled after the meeting with the Assembly President. The delegation's agenda also includes a meeting with the Funchal Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIF-CCIM).
