Key priorities include maritime transport for passengers and goods, housing, agriculture, environment, energy, and the cost of living. The JPP views this European connection as crucial for consolidating allies and redefining ultra-peripheral projects, aiming to transform regional inequalities into European causes.
Élvio Sousa, JPP's Secretary-General, highlighted the significance of the European dimension in defending island populations and asserting Madeira and the Azores as strategic assets for Europe's sovereignty and maritime reach.
