A section of Estrada Monumental in Funchal, near a roundabout, was flooded on Saturday evening, 7 November, forcing drivers to proceed with caution.
The flooding followed prolonged heavy rain linked to Storm Bruna, which is affecting Madeira. Videos shared on social media show an intense downpour with strong winds at around 19:00.
Drivers are urged to take extra care, as flooding may also be affecting other roads across the island.
