The Public Security Police (PSP) confiscated a total of 41 motorcycles during the first six months of the year.
The areas of Funchal's city center and the Via Rápida highway have been identified as the primary "black spots" for motorized noise on the island.
The PSP believes the situation "requires continued intervention" and reiterates the call for the reinstatement of mandatory inspections for motorcycles.
