The National Association of the TVDE Movement has reported an alleged physical assault on a TVDE driver in Achada do Teixeira, Santana municipality.
The driver sustained a dislocated shoulder and received hospital treatment. A criminal complaint has been filed against the alleged aggressors, identified by the association as taxi drivers, who have been identified by security forces.
The association stated this incident reflects a worrying reality, citing complaints of excessive pricing by some taxi drivers in the area, and accuses some of operating outside their designated zones and using intimidation tactics.
