The Lust Vintage bar, located in Funchal's Old Town, has reported being targeted by another act of vandalism, the third in just one week. The establishment's management expressed outrage at the repetition of these incidents, stating the venue was attacked again after a completely sold-out night.
In a statement, management declared: "Enough of vandalism. Enough of hate." The attacks are believed to be motivated by homophobia. The owners emphasize that such behavior is unacceptable in a democratic society and that the bar promotes an environment of respect and inclusion.
The previous incident occurred on July 10th, when the bar's signage was defaced. A criminal complaint was filed with authorities at the time, requesting CCTV footage analysis to identify those responsible. The owners are calling for the protection of the Old Town, a major tourist attraction, and demand that the perpetrators not go unpunished.
