The People's Monarchist Party (PPM) of Madeira has voiced significant concern regarding a fire that broke out in a building on Rua do Sabão in Funchal.
The party stated that some hydrants in the area were not operational, which reportedly delayed the firefighters' work in combating the flames. PPM criticized the water network management entity for the lack of periodic inspections of this equipment.
The party advises the responsible entities to conduct an urgent survey of all hydrants and replace damaged equipment promptly, ensuring firefighters have the necessary resources in emergencies.
