The PSD Parliamentary Group visited the 'Férias Divertidas' project, run by the Garouta do Calhau Association, highlighting the importance of ATLs (Leisure Activities) as a support service for families during school holidays.
Social Democrat deputy Cláudia Perestrelo emphasized the value of cooperation between different entities in creating local solutions, using this project as an example, which involves the Regional Secretariat for Education, parish councils, and other partner organizations.
The project, involving around 150 children and over 20 staff, including young monitors, is seen as a model of coordinated action between the Regional Government, local authorities, and community institutions, ensuring a safe space with activities for children and peace of mind for parents.
