The PSD/Madeira Parliamentary Group visited Casa Esperança this Friday, the first day and night center for the elderly in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, managed by the Associação Garouta do Calhau.

Social Democrat MP Bina Pereira emphasized the importance of this new social service, which allows the elderly to remain in their homes with day and night supervision and greater security. She highlighted the Regional Government's investment, focusing on the needs of the elderly population and offering an additional choice for families and seniors.

Pereira noted that Casa Esperança is an innovative response to the challenges of longevity, advocating for the involvement of families and institutions in supporting aging. The MP stressed the importance of creating alternatives to residential care, enabling the elderly to stay in their familiar environment with necessary support.
