PSD councillors in Machico have disapproved the minutes of the latest council meeting, alleging the socialist executive refused to record the opposition's contributions.
The PSD accuses the executive of implementing an "institutional gag," pointing to the prolonged delay in revising the Municipal Master Plan (PDM), the failure to apply for Social Housing funds, and the rejection of proposals for the Desembarcadouro area.
The PSD councillors denounced a "deliberate and unacceptable attempt" to erase dissenting opinions from official records, stating that minutes should faithfully reflect democratic debate.
