Regional Finance Secretary Duarte Freitas announced a financial support package of over €3.3 million for the redevelopment of the Calhau Seafront in São Vicente. The announcement was made during the municipality's 282nd-anniversary celebrations.
The investment aims to enhance public spaces, improve access, and create better conditions for enjoying the seafront, presented as an example of cooperation between the Regional Government and local councils.
Additionally, fiscal measures were announced to attract private investment, including a reduced corporate tax rate of 8.75% on the first €50,000 of taxable income and a 7.5 percentage point increase in the tax benefit, intended to stimulate economic activity and job creation.
