São Vicente Receives Over 28 Million in Investments and Support

The municipality of São Vicente has received over 28 million euros in public investments and project support across areas such as housing, health, education, and agriculture. The total amount includes 3.6 million for housing in Terra Chã, around 4 million for the Health Center, 3 million for the D. Lucinda de Andrade School, 16 million in support through PRODERAM, and approximately 1.5 million for LEADER projects.

These figures were highlighted by the Regional Secretary for Finance, Duarte Freitas, during the 282nd-anniversary celebrations of the municipality. Social housing, with the construction of 18 new units, the rehabilitation of the Health Center, and improvements to the D. Lucinda de Andrade School were pointed out as priorities to enhance living conditions in the region.

In the agricultural and private investment sectors, 137 applications received 16 million euros via PRODERAM, and 25 LEADER projects benefited from about 1.5 million euros, some linked to tourism and business diversification. Support for viticulture, particularly for the Boal and Tinta Negra grape varieties, was also strengthened, aiming to preserve the landscape and local identity.
