The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, in partnership with Causa Social, has launched the fifth edition of the 'Bem Cuidar' project. This initiative, running for the next three months, aims to strengthen the skills, professionally value, and promote the continuous qualification of approximately 500 home care professionals in the region.
Certified training in areas such as First Aid and Prevention and Identification of Elder Abuse will be included, equipping professionals with tools for safer and more effective performance. The project covers professionals from Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS) and the Madeira Social Security Institute, supporting around 4,000 beneficiaries.
Regional Secretary Paula Margarido highlighted the investment in qualification as an investment in the quality of life for Madeirans, emphasizing the crucial role of these professionals in preventing social isolation and promoting the autonomy of the elderly. The formalization of the program contract includes financial support exceeding 100,000 euros.
