The Association Santana Cidade Solidária is organizing the Regional Meeting 'The Meaning of Caring' on October 21st at Quinta do Furão.
This initiative receives approximately 27,000 euros in support from the Regional Government of Madeira, formalized through a program contract signed by the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labor, and Youth, Paula Margarido. The event aims to bring together about a hundred professionals to discuss key aging-related topics.
Topics such as dementia, oral health, swallowing, humanized care, and the emotional well-being of caregivers will be addressed. The association's president, Nélio Gouveia Pestana, highlighted the meeting as a recognition of these professionals' work, while Paula Margarido emphasized the investment in qualifying social responses and dignifying care professions.
