The Renault Megane RS boasts a high-performance braking system, developed in collaboration with Brembo, which includes an ABS specifically calibrated for sporty and track use. The system is integrated with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
The Megane RS's ABS is distinguished by its calibration via the R.S. Dynamic Management system, allowing the driver to adjust the ESC/ABS intervention level across three modes: Normal, Sport, and Off. Even in Sport and Off modes, where intervention is less intrusive, the ABS remains active for safety, enabling more aggressive braking on track.
Additionally, the system integrates Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and utilizes brake-to-wheel torque vectoring to limit understeer and improve cornering traction. Specific versions may offer options like carbon-ceramic discs or bi-material discs to optimize performance under intensive use.
