The Santa Cruz Municipal Council has formally requested the Chega Madeira party remove its political propaganda affixed to the municipality's public lampposts.
According to the council, the presence of the posters is hindering the installation of Christmas lights, causing difficulties for mounting work and creating a "visual barrier to the intended effect" of the festive decoration. The request was formalized via an official letter sent to the party, signed by Council President Élia Ascensão.
