The Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira (EEM) has announced that electricity supply will be interrupted on 30 October 2026 in several areas of Funchal and Câmara de Lobos.
In Funchal, the cut will affect Rua de Santa Maria, in the Santa Maria Maior parish, between 09:00 and 12:00. In Câmara de Lobos, the interruption will run from 08:30 to 13:00 in sections of the Levada do Norte and the Caminho do Lombo do Galo and Caminho da Fonte.
For safety reasons, the company advises that conductors should be treated as permanently live during these periods. Customers can reach the customer service line free of charge on 800 221 187.
