Sea access at Praia das Palmeiras in Santa Cruz has been reopened after a follow-up water quality analysis confirmed that suitable conditions for bathing have been restored.
The decision was announced by the municipality, which lifted the previously imposed ban. The situation was deemed an isolated incident, with the origin of the water quality change undetermined.
The municipality assured that no anomalies were detected in infrastructure under its responsibility, ruling out issues with the municipal network.
