A high-speed boat, of a type commonly used to transport drugs, was seized off the coast of Madeira on September 26th.
The vessel, which has four engines, was towed to the pier beneath Madeira Airport and is now in the custody of the National Maritime Authority.
Bruno Teles, the authority's commander in Madeira, told DIÁRIO that further details would be provided in due course.
