TVDE Drivers Protest in Funchal Marking One Year of New License Blockage

TVDE drivers in Funchal are planning a slow car procession to protest the administrative blockage of new licenses, which has now lasted one year.

A civic movement of TVDE applicants and drivers in Madeira will hold a peaceful car procession through Funchal next Saturday at 5:00 PM. The initiative aims to mark one year of administrative blockage on the issuance of new licenses in the Region.

The caravan will depart from the upper area of Santo António, traveling at a reduced speed (25 to 30 km/h) and passing by institutions linked to the sector, such as the IMT, the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, and the Presidency of the Government.

At 5:30 PM, the group will stop at Praça CR7, where a satirical cake will be served to mark the anniversary of the blockade and discuss its social and family impact.
