The Ambassador of the United States of America to Portugal, John Joseph Arrigo, was received this morning at the Palácio de São Lourenço by the Representative of the Republic for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Paulo Barreto.
This marks the ambassador's first official visit to the Madeiran archipelago, having held his position for approximately one year. He is also scheduled to meet with the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, later today.
