Vicente Pestana, originally from São Vicente, has dedicated his professional and political career to supporting Madeira's farmers, a goal he has pursued since his youth.
As a trained agricultural technical engineer, Pestana always dreamed of helping farmers progress, especially in a region he describes as "among the poorest in the country," with São Vicente being the most affected by agricultural poverty before April 25th.
Pestana also had a political career, serving as a deputy elected in four different electoral districts. His roles included responsibilities within the Regional Government in agricultural and forestry matters, where he led afforestation and planning projects.
