The Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) anticipates a generally very cloudy day for Madeira this Friday, September 18th.
Light showers are expected, particularly affecting the northern slopes of the island and higher elevations. Winds will blow from the north/northeast, ranging from light to moderate (10 to 30 km/h), potentially becoming strong (up to 40 km/h) on the eastern and western extremities, with gusts reaching 65 km/h.
Maximum temperatures are forecast to be 27.ºC in Funchal and 26.ºC in Porto Santo, with minimums of 21.ºC in both locations. Sea conditions on the north coast will feature northeast waves of 2.5 to 3 meters, gradually decreasing, while south coast waves will be around 1 meter from the south quadrant. The sea temperature will be between 23 and 25.ºC.
