The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) anticipates a day of very cloudy skies on the island of Madeira, with cloudiness increasing from mid-afternoon.
Light showers are expected on the north coast and in the highlands from late afternoon. The wind will blow from the northeast, light to moderate, potentially stronger in the eastern and western extremities of the island and in the highlands.
Maximum temperatures are forecast around 29°C and minimums around 23°C. In Funchal, skies will be partly cloudy, with possible increased cloudiness in the afternoon and light winds. The sea will have north/northeasterly waves of 1 to 1.5 meters on the North Coast, increasing to 1.5 to 2 meters in the afternoon, and southerly waves of 1 meter on the South Coast.
