Yacht owners using the Porto Santo marina's shipyard have expressed dissatisfaction with new rules imposed by the concessionaire.
A Spanish yacht owner reported an accident caused by the lack of light in the shipyard, raising concerns about safety and hygiene. The deprivation of basic services like water and electricity is reportedly being used as pressure for owners to leave the premises.
Affected yacht owners have been advised to formally complain to the Porto Santo Health Delegate, APRAM (the granting authority), the Port Captaincy, and the Maritime Police, or through the physical or electronic complaints book.
