Portugal's autonomous regions registered a total of 183 road accidents during the recent road safety campaign named 'Zero Tolerance at the Wheel'.
The operation, focused on preventing and monitoring drivers under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances, aimed to reduce accidents on the islands' roads.
The data indicates that despite enforcement efforts, accidents continued to occur, highlighting the importance of driver awareness and individual responsibility.
