Albuquerque: Autonomy is a dynamic and unfinished process

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, stated that Madeira's autonomy is a "dynamic, open" and still "unfinished" process.

Albuquerque spoke during the launch of the book “50 Anos de Autonomia – Testemunhos e Números” (50 Years of Autonomy – Testimonies and Numbers), where he stressed the need to consider the future and ensure new generations are prepared to defend autonomy.

The governor highlighted that autonomy requires instruments to ensure the region's future development and mentioned the normal tension between Central and Regional powers.
