Albuquerque Calls Delay in Mobility Subsidy Platform 'Not Normal'

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, expressed dissatisfaction with the delay in resolving technical issues on the Territorial Continuity Mechanism platform, formerly known as the Mobility Subsidy.

Albuquerque stated that while the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing is working on the necessary adjustments, the situation is not normal, especially considering how quickly a similar problem would be resolved in Madeira. PSD deputies elected by Madeira will question the minister in the Assembly of the Republic for clarification.

The main difficulty lies in the platform's inability to process reimbursement values above the maximum ceiling of 400 euros, a change expected since early June with new legislation. Despite initial information suggesting a platform update, it has not happened, nor can travel agencies process reimbursements above the limit. The suspension of reimbursements for agencies at CTT was also communicated.

The Madeiran executive leader emphasized that this is a technical adjustment, not a regulatory issue, assuring that there is no deliberate intention to delay the solution by the national government. However, he admitted that the delay of over a month is unacceptable.
