The president of PSD Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, assured on Friday that relations between the regional structure and the party's national leadership are "normalized." This statement comes in response to the absence of representatives from the national PSD and PSD Açores at the Herdade do Chão da Lagoa Festival, a traditional party event scheduled for this Sunday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Lucca Italian Cuisine restaurant in Funchal, Albuquerque downplayed the absence, indicating that no invitations were extended to the other structures for this edition. He dismissed any political interpretation of the fact, ensuring that there are no issues in the coordination between the different party structures.
The Herdade do Chão da Lagoa Festival will take place this Sunday, remaining one of PSD Madeira's main annual political initiatives. However, this year, the event will only feature the participation of the regional structure.
