Albuquerque Guarantees Continued Investment in Affordable Housing

The President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, assured that the executive will maintain its investment in affordable housing construction.

"We will continue to advance on Madeira's top priority at this moment: the construction of affordable housing for families," stated Albuquerque during a visit to a private development in Funchal. He emphasized that this policy will proceed in parallel with private activity, without compromising the real estate market, considered crucial for the regional economy and job creation.

Albuquerque mentioned that an investment of 175 million euros in housing is being finalized, with interventions planned in several municipalities. He also addressed local accommodation, recognizing its role in generating income and revitalizing municipalities, advocating for a policy that increases housing supply without harming the real estate and tourism sectors.
