Independent deputy Miguel Castro has put forward a plan for the enhancement of RTP-Madeira, Antena 1 Madeira, and Antena 3 Madeira. The initiative focuses on the professionals and the essential resources required for fulfilling their public service mission.
Castro acknowledged the "value and commitment" of the teams, highlighting their work as "essential for local information, cultural dissemination, and community connection." He therefore advocates for adequate working conditions, reliable equipment, and training opportunities to keep pace with technological advancements.
The plan recommends an assessment of needs and the definition of investment priorities, including funding and execution monitoring. Miguel Castro emphasizes that "enhancing RTP Madeira means recognizing the work of its professionals and providing them with the conditions to fulfill their mission," stating that "the people of Madeira and Porto Santo deserve a close public service, capable of accurately and independently reflecting their reality."
