The Mayor of Ponta do Sol, Rui Marques, met with the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Rodrigues, along with the presidents of the municipality's three parish councils.
The meeting focused on analyzing priority needs for Ponta do Sol, Canhas, and Madalena do Mar. Rui Marques highlighted the Regional Government's openness to collaborative work on addressing issues affecting the three parishes.
Key interventions discussed include the paving of the Regional Road in Canhas, scheduled for 2027, the requalification of Recta dos Canhas, and advancing the Via Expresso dos Canhas project phase. In Madalena do Mar, the creation of a small breakwater near Bairro do Passo was discussed, while in Ponta do Sol, solutions for the Lagoa do Lugar de Baixo and improvements to the Via Expresso section between Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava were addressed.
