It is with sadness that the family of Alexandre Edgar da Mata Alves, a native of Gaula, Santa Cruz, announces his passing. The announcement comes from his son, João Gonçalo Rodrigues Alves, his mother Virgínia de Jesus Freitas Alves and partner Eusébio Sousa, sisters Gabriela and Andreia, brothers-in-law, nephews, and other relatives.
The funeral will take place on Friday, departing from the chapel of Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça at 11:00 AM, heading to the mortuary chapel of Casa da Sagrada Família in Gaula. The wake will be held until 3:00 PM, followed by the funeral mass at 3:30 PM in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz. Burial will be in the local family plot.
A 7th-day memorial mass will be held next Sunday at 10:30 AM in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz. The family requests, if possible, that attendees wear white clothing and expresses gratitude for expressions of sympathy and attendance.
