ASPP/PSP Organizes Protest in Funchal for Better Public Security Conditions

The Union Association of Police Professionals (ASPP/PSP) is organizing a protest event in Funchal this Tuesday, October 20th, at 6 PM in Largo do Colégio.

The initiative, under the slogan 'For a Safe Portugal for All!', aims to demand the appreciation of Public Security Police professionals and improved conditions to ensure public safety.

The union highlights a lack of resources, insufficient staffing, and the closure of police stations, arguing these issues negatively impact both officers and the public. ASPP/PSP calls for a policy shift in public security, viewing safety as an investment and advocating for police officers' recognition, stating the burden shouldn't solely rest on the officers' efforts.
