Chega demands answers on unlicensed immigrant housing in Campanário

The Chega party has reiterated its concerns regarding the housing of immigrant workers in a building lacking a habitation license in Campanário, Ribeira Brava.

This issue, previously addressed in 2024, concerns the former Sousa & Filhos building, where approximately 50 people were reportedly staying. At that time, responsible parties were notified to cease the use.

Chega questions the absence of a definitive solution despite previous inspections and notifications, and calls for clarity on the licensing process, the number of residents, and the measures taken by the municipality to resolve the matter.
