Chega MP Francisco Gomes met with representatives of Banco Espírito Santo (BES) commercial paper creditors to follow up on the situation of those who have not yet recovered their lost savings.
Gomes stressed that the process lacks a definitive response and has been kept on the parliamentary agenda, focusing on the financial system, the Resolution Fund, and state responsibilities. The MP criticized the delay in resolution, comparing it to the speed with which funds were found to save the financial system, and deemed the situation a matter of justice and decency.
The parliamentarian assured that Chega will continue to monitor the process and question the Government, stating that the passage of time should not dilute the creditors' claims nor allow the state to "sweep them under the rug."
