Fitto's visit to Madeira is part of the new strategy and regulatory package adopted by the European Commission to strengthen support for the EU's nine Outermost Regions, adapting norms to their specific geographical and economic conditions.
This meeting follows a period of intense diplomatic activity for the Representative of the Republic, who has hosted various personalities at the Palace of São Lourenço in recent weeks, including ambassadors and the commander of Maneuver Airfield No. 3.
