Chega Madeira MP Francisco Gomes issued a press release stating that the new TVDE Law had been voted on the previous day by the Mobility Committee.
However, an examination of the legislative process and the agendas of the Infrastructure, Mobility and Housing Committee of the Assembly of the Republic indicates that the vote on the revision of Law No. 45/2018 was scheduled for July 8, the day after the press release was issued.
The last meeting held before the statement, on July 1, did not include this vote. Therefore, Gomes' claims about the vote as a fait accompli were not true at the time they were sent.
