The CHEGA Parliamentary Group in the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira will formalize the submission of a Draft Law Proposal to the Assembly of the Republic.
The initiative aims to create the Mission and Retention Supplement for professionals of the Public Security Police (PSP) and the National Republican Guard (GNR) serving in the archipelago.
The supplement, equivalent to 15% of salary, is intended to compensate for the wear and tear, isolation, and increased cost of living resulting from island status. CHEGA argues that the financial burden should be fully borne by the Portuguese State through the State Budget.
