Companies located in business parks managed by Madeira Parques Empresariais (MPE) may be exempt from conducting and submitting periodic self-monitoring analyses of wastewater.
This exemption applies exclusively to users whose effluents result solely from the use of sanitary facilities, changing rooms, canteens, or other worker support areas, and not from production processes.
To benefit, companies must declare no discharges from activities that could significantly alter wastewater characteristics. MPE will review the information and may conduct technical checks before granting the exemption. The exemption covers only periodic analyses, with other legal and regulatory obligations remaining in effect.
