The Dr. Ângelo Augusto da Silva Basic and Secondary School and its sports hall have been fully renovated, offering improved teaching and learning conditions for its school community. The project, which involved an investment of approximately 6.9 million euros, including VAT, began in September 2024 and was completed within the scheduled timeframe.

Work included structural repairs to the building, facade restoration, replacement of windows and elevators, and internal space reorganization to meet current needs. The sports hall received a new floor and structural elements and finishes were rehabilitated.

The renovated facilities will benefit a school community of 1,036 students, 207 teachers, and 63 non-teaching staff. The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, visited the requalified works.
