The Funchal Municipal Council has announced the provision of psychological support for the Madeiran-Venezuelan community residing on the island, whose relatives may have been affected by the recent calamity in Venezuela.
The initiative, announced by the council president, Jorge Carvalho, will be carried out by 17 psychologists through partner entities. Contact for support should preferably be made through the Funchal Municipal Council's Diaspora and Migration Unit at 291 211 041.
The municipality stated it is monitoring the situation in coordination with Portuguese entities and is available to intervene in other areas as requested.
