The Funchal Port Captaincy issued a bad weather warning (signal 6) for the Madeira archipelago, following information received from the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere.
The warning corresponds to force 7 winds, between 51 and 62 kilometres per hour, from any direction.
The Captaincy advises boat owners and skippers to take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their vessels.
